Age 75, an Arlington County physician for 43 years, died
Saturday, December 23, 1980, at National Hospital in Arlington, Virginia.
Born in Brownsburg, Va., Dr. Moneymaker graduated from Hampden-Sydney
College in Virginia in 1927. He earned a medical degree from the University
of Virginia's medical school in 1933. Before establishing a general medical
practice in Arlington in the mid-1930's, he served as an intern at Baltimore
City Hospital and was a resident physician at Sibley Memorial Hospital
here. Dr. Moneymaker, who lived in Arlington, was a member of the
Arlington County and Virginia State Medical societies and was a staff physician
at Alexandria Hospital in Virginia and Georgetown University and Doctors
Hospitals in Washington. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice A., of Arlington;
four sons, Thomas A., of Beacon, N.Y., Richard W., of Albany, NY, John
E., of Louisville, KY., and James M. of New York City; two sisters, Elda
Hammond of Staunton, Va., and Antha Moneymaker of Raphine,
Va., and four grandchildren.
